What is the Meaning of Tae Kwon Do?
  • Tae: Feet - Using your feet to kick
  • Kwon: Fist - Using hand techniques to block or punch
  • Do: Spirit - The art or spiritual way (respect, discipline, and mental training)
  • Tae Kwon Do is a form of Korean Martial Arts and is an Olympic sport.
  • WTF (World Taekwondo Federation) - Our studio is part of this well known and highly respected Federation based in Seoul, Korea.
Why do we learn Tae Kwon Do?
We learn Taekwondo to build upon our knowledge and habits of respect, discipline, responsibility, and mental strength. We learn to defend ourselves in emergent danger.

Why we use Kihap?
Kihap is a spirit or battle cry we use to encourage students to build self-confidence and courage to excel in Tae Kwon Do, which reflects in their everyday lives.
